Dreamcatcher

The Haight's -
I Haight to say it (pretty punny!) but I LOVE my guitar!
It kept me up last night for 2 extra hours despite 1000+ miles of travel yesterday. (I got to bed at 3 am.) I'll be breaking it in on stage for the very 1st time on Wednesday. The band will be performing an acoustic opening set at our weekly engagement.
It was truly empowering as person & player to meet like minded souls that 'do it' for the right reasons. I look forward to updating you and one day - down the road - having you build more instruments for me.

Hey there Haight's!
(I know you're lovers not 'haighters' - 1st time you heard that right?)
Just wanted to say hello, still loving my guitar!
I had my 1st recording session with Dreamcatcher on Sunday, it went really well. I was hired on to 'flush out' the sounds of some songs that an independent producer is working on. Very poppy, indie/alt stuff, some of it even worked its way into the hip-hop realm. I just said, "Does it pay? Cause this guitar was expensive!" Then when they saw it, the jaws hit the floor...when I played it they started to shake and stop me, "Wait, we're not recording yet, don't play another note, yet!"
My 1st live performances went over very well. … I'm finding Dreamcatcher is such a higher caliber level of instrument that some of my music mates are requesting I don't use it for gigs...it makes their guitars sound inferior. I told them that that's not my intent. I just want the show to be better. I'm finding when it's plugged in the high end has such clarity that people aren't used to, that we have to 'dial' the EQ in right on the board so it sounds more like the guitars they are used to, but even then, the Dreamcatcher still shines.
Later this month I’ll be performing a full set of my own original material for the 1st time in years. I've sat in with friends, and even did an open mic, but nothing with my name on the bill. I will be playing the Dreamcatcher almost exclusively. It has caused me to make music I hadn't written like in the past, and raise the bar of my own 'round the house' practicing. I play for an hour or so on my c--p guitars, and once I’ve got a set down of what I want to play on Dreamcatcher, I take five. Clean up my hands, tune Dreamcatcher up and play her for a half hour. Wipe her down after, double check humidity, and close her up for the day.
I've also vowed to not have another hand play her. So Norm, if my life goes as my dreams intend, you will have been the last person to play her. I even get crazy when my best friend, whom I love dearly, held her closely just to really inspect your craftsmanship, (which he was COMPLETELY floored by). He has a custom acoustic, and a custom electric banjo from a luthier in the bay area.
So once again, thank you. I hope all is well in the Arizona sun, and you find this message in great spirits.

"I walked into the Haight Guitar shop, just browsing and with no intention of buying. After trying several of their instruments I picked up a guitar that caught my eye as being a piece of art work, strummed it a couple of times and fell in love. 15 minutes later I was the proud owner of my first Haight Guitar. A month later I purchased my second Haight Guitar, a classical, and a "classic". Each of my Haight's is a superb instrument and an example of the best craftsmanship America has to offer."

I am delighted to write and say that I am a totally satisfied customer & owner of one of Norm's custom-made guitars. I am pleased to mention that I have received nothing but the finest personalized service possible with all the extra touches at a price more than fair. I am, in fact, looking forward to my next customized Haight Guitar - I've already ordered the wood!
