F-style mandolin
Norman & Sharon enjoy camping in their trailer. One of the relaxing activities Norman does is to sit by the hour hand carving backs and tops for his f-style mandolins. Since it usually takes about four camping trips to finish one top or back, Norman only produces a mandolin every 5 years or so. This one is special because of its natural finish, showing off the meticulous finishing job around the scroll. This particular instrument will be for the player who wants his or her mandolin to stand out. It's a real grabber.

Myrtlewood Classical
Myrtlewood is very similar to mahagony because it grows in the coastal areas of Oregon. The particular piece of Myrtlwood has a history that goes back 75 years. Norm's dad was a garage sale junkie. One day, about 30 years ago, he came across the huge piece of Myrtlewood a widow was selling. She said her husband had purchased the wood 40 years earlier for a project he never got around to. We don't know what project Norm's dad never got around to, but Norm got three sets out of that 75 year old wood. And it sounds so great!

Myrtlewood Dreadnaught
This is the second guitar to come from the 75 year old Myrtlewood talked about above. This guitar has a special inlay upgrade reminiscent of art deco stylings. This dreadnaught has a rich, full sound with a sweetness derived from the Engleman spruce top. We know you'll love this guitar.
This guitar's back & sides are Oregon Myrtlewood, the top is Engleman spruce. The inlay is abalone and crushed malachite.

Bees Wing Eucalyptus Classical
The wood is called Bees Wing because of the delicate figuring in the Eucalyptus, and it is a bit heavier than most Haight Guitars (which are lighter than factory guitars because each piece of wood is carefully shaved down to where it produces the best sound possible). The rosette is a rose pattern and the top is Engleman spruce.
