Haight Guitar Owners & Their Guitars
* Professional Musician

Rick Miller - The Eagle

Rick is our first custom guitar owner. He walked into our tent at Pioneer Village and said he wasn't interested in any new guitars because he'd just bought two Martins. Sharon said, "Oh, that's too bad." Taken aback, Rick asked why. Sharon just handed him a Haight guitar and sat back. After a few strokes, Rick looked up and said, "Oh."

Well, this is Rick's second Haight guitar. It features an eagle and stars inlay and replaces the 1976 bi-centennial Martin that Rick had just purchased before learning of Norman's great guitars.

Congratulations Rick.

Billy Cioffi* & Rosebud

Billy had his first Top 10 recording at 16. He has played and recorded with Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Tom Petty & George Harrison. He's played along side guitar legend Steve Hunter. Billy says that Rosebud is his favorite play-at-home-for-enjoyment instrument. He wrote an ode to this guitar, which is on the Lovin' Haight Guitars CD.

Testimonial This will take you to a Billy Cioffi video page. There are several videos where he is playing his Haight Guitar, Rosebud.

Zella Day* & The Butterfly

Zella Day is a rising star who shines brilliantly and warms the hearts of everyone who meets her. Ask her about her Haight guitar, the Butterfly, and she lights up with ecstatic enthusiasm.

1/6/09 Zella blogged: "I was practicing guitar today and realized how stoked I am to have such a special instrument, I have to thank Norman Haight with 'Haight Guitars' for the custom beauty."

Adam & Island Dreams

Adam is a great kid who has been struck with some bad luck. We had a great deal of fun working with him on his guitar design. He even got a shark's tooth inlaid on his head stock. We expect great things of Adam and his fabulous "Island Dreams" guitar.

Gary & The Tree of Life - Dreadnought

Gary G, retired owner of the Big Boys and Their Toys Expo, is the proud owner of the Tree of Life. It is the most ambitious inlay we have done. The inlay is a limited edition of only 4. You can still get this phenomenal inlay on the guitar body of your choice for just $15,000. Click for a sound-byte.

Barrett Tasky* & Dreamcatcher

"I'm finding Dreamcatcher is such a higher caliber level of instrument that some of my music mates are requesting I don't use it for gigs...it makes their guitars sound inferior. ... I was hired on to flush out the sounds of some songs that an independent producer is working on. ... when they saw it, the jaws hit the floor ~ when I played it they started to shake and stop me, 'Wait, we're not recording yet, don't play another note until we're recording!'"

Barrett Tasky of Chicago

Cary Miller* & The Blue Palms

Cary Miller, professional musician, new proud owner.

Click here for more information about the Blue Palms and to hear a sound byte of this guitar.

Note: Cary has not made a payment on this guitar for over a year. If you see him, please tell him we'd like to receive the rest of the money he owes us. Thank you.

Bill & Orange Cocobolo Classical & Walnut Small Jumbo

"I walked into the Haight Guitar shop, just browsing and with no intention of buying. After trying several of their instruments I picked up a guitar that caught my eye as being a piece of art work, strummed it a couple of times and fell in love. 15 minutes later I was the proud owner of my first Haight Guitar. A month later I purchased my second Haight Guitar, a classical, and a 'classic.' Each of my Haights is a superb instrument and an example of the best craftsmanship America has to offer."

Eric Johnson* at Desert Vista Recording Studio & a Haight Standard

Eric, owner of Go to Desert Vista Studios, chose Mikki's first guitar for his studio's standard recording instrument. This is a great testimony both to Mikki and to the standards that all students are elevated to at Norm's 1 Week - 1 Guitar building camps. Of course, all of Norm's guitars are wonderful for recording (listen to our Lovin' Haight Guitars CD), but if you would like a great guitar for recording purposes at a lower price, we usually have at least one student grade guitar available.

Rick & The Cross

"I am delighted to write and say that I am a totally satisfied customer & owner of one of Norm's custom made guitars. I am pleased to mention that I have received nothing but the finest personalized service possible with all the extra touches at a price more than fair. I am, in fact looking forward to my next customized Haight Guitar."
